So, here's the thing. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I've started blogging, and then left it rot on the vine. One of the many reasons for this is that I get the idea to do this during one of my up periods, and then I slump a bit, and it falls by the wayside. This particular incarnation has a slightly different origin, and I hope, a slightly different motivation that will help carry it over the hump into a thing I want to do, rather than a thing I have to do.

My wife, the love of my life, after a very rough period of years, has started doing live video on Facebook while she works out on an elliptical. I won't tell her story here: that's for her to tell. I'm here as technical support and busybody. I suggested she might want to start doing the videos on Youtube, instead, and link them to Facebook, as well as start a written blog. So in order to help her with her blogging ambitions, I did what I usually do: try to figure it out myself first, and then show/teach/help others. In my many, many years in IT, this has been my process.

So far, I've determined how she can record straight from her iPad to Youtube and how to set up and use a straightforward, nicely designed blogging platform. We will probably move on to setting up Twitter and Instagram, but that depends entirely on her comfort level and perceived need. I'll be making notes along the way, and I will edit this post to include links to Lori's content, once we've got it set up. EDIT: Lori’s blog is at: https://lorisfaith.wixsite.com/takingcontrol

This is my blog, and sometimes I will put stuff in here that I think is worth sharing. I will make some people uncomfortable with things, sometimes. I might even find things to say that will help.
